Enrollment FAQ
MOMMY & ME: A Creative Dance environment designed for the parent and child where the parent assists the toddler in creating movement and shape.  Props, music and story books are used to stimulate the imagination and create movement.

MUSICAL THEATER:
A great class to introduce students to the elements of dance and theater.  Warm-ups begin with barre using ballet, jazz and modern and progress to stretching and character steps center.  Vocal work covers singing, creating character voices, improvisation and basic acting.  Students learn stagecraft and script work as they prepare to present the story in the June recitals.

POINTE
: This special style of ballet is for dancers with proper placement, strength, knowledge and experience (no younger than 11 years) who wish to learn the art of dancing in pointe shoes.  Work is at the barre beginning in level 4 and all dancers must be in extra ballet classes .  All levels 5-7 work in pointe shoes in their regular ballet class.  Pointe work is a pre-requisite for variations class.

PRE-BALLET
: The perfect class for the 4-5 yr. old to take before the Ballet 1 class for 6 year olds.  All the basics are presented in a fun atmosphere focused on technique & terminology.

PRIVATE DANCE LESSONS:
All teachers are available for private lessons when studio space is available.  Fees (to cover studio and instructor) are set by the individual teacher and are determined by style, level and length of lesson.  Reservations must be made in advance and posted in the lobby.  Fees are paid to the TEACHER at the time the lesson is taken.  Cancellations need to be made 24 hours in advance or a $15.00 fee is charged for reserving studio space.

PRIVATE MUSIC LESSONS:
These are scheduled in 30-minute slots and are booked with the teachers on staff based on their availability.  Eight weeks commitment are required to begin private lessons.  Piano, voice, guitar, flute, saxophone, violin plus other string instruments are offered.  Offerings change with the faculty and move information can be obtained from the office.

TAP
: Using the basics of ballet for arms and balance, we train dancers in all styles of tap: Broadway, hoofing, rhythm and stomp.  The classic work of Bill Bojangles Robinson forms the historic base of our progressed syllabus for ages 6 through adult.  Tap is combined with jazz classes in levels 1-7.  Teen and adult classes study tap separately from jazz.

VARIATIONS:
The ultimate dance for ballerinas, this class follows advanced technique classes (required) so the dancers are warmed up.  Work from the classic ballets plus contemporary styles is taught to prepare our students to perform in pointe, modern, multicultural, jazz and lyrical dances.
