Derby Dance,& Music Arts has now completed one third of our 9-month program and our staff is excited about all the great artists we have studying with us this year!  Our newest faculty member is JANA LEE ROSS, who teaches piano & voice - specializing in advanced work and JAZZ!  Her Thursdays have space available 4:30-8:30 - so come in and SIGN UP!  The 4-month classes are closed and reopen along with Argentine Tango, Ballroom and NEW January classes Jan. 3-9th, 2012.

"Secret of the Snow Maidens" - Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011   2:00 pm
This show features our 4-mo. program dancers in PreBallet (Wed & Fri), Creative Dance (Wed), Ballet 1 & Irish 1 (mon) with help from Mus. Theater 3/4, Ballet 5, Variations and the MUSIC STUDENTS.  All Participations Forms (to be sent home Nov. 14) need to be completed and on file in the office by Dec. 9th.  Show will be presented at the Colorado Springs School: 21 Broadmoor Rd.  The $30 Family recital fee pd by 4-mo. classes covers 3 ticets and a dvd of this show.  Students & musicians in the 9-mo. program can purchase tickets and dvds at the same price (on participation form).UMES: 
Creative Dance, PreBallet, Ballet 1 - wear pink class dancewear - accessories provided at no cost
Irish 1 - black leotard, black leggings, - socks, sashes, headpieces provided
Mus. Theater 3- wear basic black jazz pants, black leo or t-shirt, bare feet
Mus. Theater 4- wear own coat, pants, bloves, hat, etc & jazz shoes
Variations-  pk tights, pk pointe shoes, white leo, long tutu, headpc provided
Ballet 5- pk tights, pk slippers, black tunic dress, headpc provided
Musicians - own dressy clothes

DRESS REHEARSAL:  Sat., Dec. 17  from 10 am- 12 pm at the STUDIOS

REMINDERS...... The June recital dance program and the MUSIC program meet for 36 weeks.  Adults taking drop-in dance classes are expected to pay at the time of class.  Classes missed need to be made up in another level or style BEFORE May 2012.  Check with your teacher on the best makeup class for you!  Remember - dancers with perfect AttenDANCE receive gift awards
