How do I enroll?
Enrolling at Derby Dance & Music Arts is as easy as picking up the phone and calling us requesting all the necessary forms OR walking in to our lovely studios.

Why do I have to come in?
We ask that you come in so you can see the facility and meet our staff. We feel it's very important for our prospective students to meet with us face to face to really appreciate what we have to offer at Derby Dance & Music Arts.  Also, we can walk you through the registration process, policies and dancewear dress code, answering any questions that you may have.  Placing dancers in the correct class from the beginning is very important-saving time, energy and frustration.  Because we accept credit cards and EFT drafts, our agreements require us to have signatures on file agreeing to our policies.  This keeps our mechant status in tip top shape-just like our dancers!

What if I call requesting the forms?
That's perfectly fine! Our staff can prepare a registration packet for you and mail it out. We are also available to answer your questions over the phone as you fill out your registration packet.
Can I sign up over the phone?
No, you can't sign up over the phone or "save a space" in a class by phone. It is important that you register for the class if you wish to attend it regularly.
Why do we ask dancers to PRE-REGISTER?
We need 4 to 6 students to start our group classes.

The 2-month commitment by 4 to 6 students guarantees the teacher income for their time and commitment.


When you register, we can stay in touch with you on the status of classes and you are guaranteed a place in a class.

Classes are not formed around "drop-ins" and "drop-in" students can only take in classes that have started with the 4 to 6 confirmed students.

What does the non-refundable registration fee cover?
The non-refundable registration fee covers our Customer Care. That fee enables us to follow up with you (via phone, emails, correspondence), mail you information, and most importantly, it allows us to give you the BEST care we can so that your experience with us is wonderful! You are important to us and we care about you!

There are NO REFUNDS or pro-rating of tuition for classes missed.  Students are expected to MAKE UP in another class of their choosing WHILE PAYING tuition for current classes.
